Bambi is a fawn who grows up deep in the forest with his friends, a rabbit named Thumper, and a skunk
named Thumper. After losing his mother at the hands of hunters, Bambi grows up to become the
Great Prince of the forest. He falls in love with Faline, and barely escapes a catastrophic forest fire.
Based on a book written in 1923 by Austrian writer, Felix Salten, Walt Disney's world premiere of Bambi
was in London on August 8, 1942
